This story seems very poignant. It has fuck all to do with religion or skin colour or sexuality. It just shows that not all of us humans are complete and utter fucking cunts. It restores a little bit of faith in humanity.

8-years ago, CHP Officer Kevin Briggs talked this young man out of jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. That young man’s name is Kevin Berthia. Today he is 30 years old and married with 2 children. This week he presented Officer Briggs with an award on behalf of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The story of how Officer Briggs talked Kevin down is remarkable. As you can see in the picture, Kevin is literally one step away from jumping to his death. But for more than hour, the officer listened to Kevin pour his heart out about his troubles and told him, “I know you think things are bad, but they can get better.” Kevin says, “Officer Briggs never made me feel guilty for the situation I was in. He made feel like, I understand why you are here, but there are alternatives” Kevin is just one of countless lives Briggs has saved over his 23 year career. Briggs, who was promoted to Sergeant five years ago, is humble about what he does. He says, ”They make the decision, when they step back over that rail it takes a tremendous amount of courage”

Oh guys. I’ve been a bad blogger. Basically I’ve been really really fucking busy over the past week. I’ve been promoted! Yeaaaah this basically means a hell of a lot more work and traveling around the the south of the country but I can’t wait! More money too which is rad. I’ve got a lot going on at the moment. My new job officially starts Monday, that also being the 4 weeks until Glasto mark. Shit… I have like a month to prepare myself for the complete brain mush ahead and living in a tent for 3 weeks while I become a set designer. I don’t even have a fucking tent yet. Fuck sake. So I’m not talking to you all because I hate you, I’m just really fucking busy. It’s a bit crap really. I’m not used to having so much going on. Fun though!

“What if we can’t make it but we say that we can? Shaking the habitual relate it to time. We’re laughing at the future and we cry at the past. I’m holding on forever but how long will forever last?” Now this is just too perfect. This isn’t from the gig is saw on Thursday night but is identical. it was just incredible, so good in fact I have just bought Bestival tickets JUST to see them again. This song ‘Without you my life would be boring’ has been playing in my house relentlessly since i got the album. Seeing it live was even more special! There were a few shitty customers at the gig, complaining about the lack of performance. As a live show they didn’t really perform live very much. It was a lot of recorded stuff but to be honest I couldn’t give a fuck! You don’t cry when a DJ plays other peoples records. And the dancers too, they were camp as fuck and it ruled. I’m totally gonna master this dance and ill be the guy at the front, fucked out of my face dancing like a magical wizard. It was amazing. It was just a shame it was on a Thursday night and ended at 11pm! However at a festival its gonna be even more intense!

Something really scary happened to me this week. I encountered one of the worst moments of my life, being handed an unconscious 3 year old girl with a head injury by her screaming mother. Not cool. It happened on Saturday night at work. A little kid was on her scooter and smashed her head against a solid oak door. When the little girl began to scream and there was no blood I was relieved. A screaming kid is an okay kid… well better than a silent kid who is in pain, thats the worry! Someone else had gone to get her a compress thing for her head and I walked away knowing the kid was alright. Then suddenly her screaming mother began to shout “Help me, somebody help me” (My stomach just knotted as i read this back, it was horrible) I ran over to her expecting to see a sudden gush of blood, but no, nothing. The mother who had clearly gone into shock handed over to me the tiny girl who wasn’t moving. Completely flat out, red eyes and blue lips. The mother ran in the opposite direction and then fell to the floor screaming. it was horrible. Somehow I kept my cool and with no first aid knowledge or fucking anything I completely took over the situation. I placed her on the floor and checked her breathing, I noticed the she was previously eating sweets, so I checked her throat for anything, and put her down in the recovery position making sure her injury wasn’t against the floor. I didn’t even know I knew the fucking recovery position! I then held her hand and called an ambulance and waited for the mother to come back. By this time a crowed had formed and I was knelt on the ground literally feeling like I was going to throw up. It felt like she was out for ages but it turned out to be more like 3 minuets, but it honestly could have been an eternity. With that the little girl came around and the paramedics arrived and took over. It was fucking horrible. I then had to take statements and fill out lots of forms as the girl was rushed to hospital. I had to watch back the CCTV and it was really fucking disturbing. I am dead chuffed with myself, I looked cool as a cucumber on the recording. I even managed to fight off a crowd of people to give us some space. It was really cool yesterday, I was congratulated by the police and the Mum and girl came to see me and I was called a Hero! Dead chuffed. So the moral of this little tale is… touch up on your CPR/first aid knowledge because you never know when some dumb ass little kid is gonna twat their skull on a door! Always wear a helmet on your bikes and scooters, and wear stripes. (They looked really good on me on the CCTV footage!) Be safe gang.

I think rings are my favourite things. I wanted this amazing Gucci one for my Birthday from Tim and Liam and Gary (My boyfriend and best friends!) but they fannied about and missed out on it. Weep. I am determined they are going to buy me one though. I could just buy it myself but the reason I wanted them to buy it was because every day when i whore it it would remind me of them!
